Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Urgent Care
The Opportunity
The ConvenientMD team is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in our urgent care setting. This role requires a strong background in patient care, clinical procedures, and effective communication.
Your Impact
- Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage, take vital signs, document medical history, and perform observational examinations.
- Aid in Patient Exams: Prepare necessary equipment and documentation, support providers during tests and procedures, and assist with diagnostic and testing procedures.
- Perform Clinical Procedures: Execute point-of-care testing, deliver wound care assessments, immunizations, and medication administration.
- Engage with Patients: Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate electronic medical records and observe/report changes in patients' conditions.
- Clinic Operations: Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained, and support smooth clinic operations.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with providers and other healthcare professionals.
Required Availability
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and/or non-consecutive days.
- For full-time: Three (3) 12-hour shifts a week, with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- For part-time: Two (2) 12-hour shifts per week, with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- For per diem: Four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one (1) shift each week.
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic.
- May need to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute.
Who You Are
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: State licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. For Maine and New Hampshire only, must be IV certified.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Character: Compassionate, authentic, and patient-focused; proactive and confident communicator; trustworthy; effective communicator and cross-collaborator; excellent team player; technically savvy.
Bonus Qualifications
- One to two (1-2) years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.

Individual pay is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, years of relevant experience, current market conditions, and budget considerations. The pay range listed reflects the potential compensation for this role within this region. Final compensation is determined at the conclusion of the interview process. Hourly Pay Range for this Position: $29.43 - $43.78 USD
