Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit 2-5
Position Summary
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a licensed health care provider who provides nursing care under the direction of an RN, physician, or other authorized health care provider. There is no independent component to the LPN role.
Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses
- Holding a current licensure or temporary permit from the State of New York
- Participates in orientation and continuing education, updating and maintaining knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
Special Equipment, Skills Or Other Requirements
- Current BLS/CPR certification
Work Environment And Hazards
- Clinical setting – Exposure Class I – Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions
- Physical Demands: Medium work – Must be able to lift 25 pounds frequently; occasionally lifting a maximum of 50 pounds. Will require the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist squat and reach

- Registered Nurses, physician, or other authorized health care provider
Pay Range
Pay Range: $25.00-$35.70 Pay Is Based On Experience, Skills
