How You'll Contribute
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting.
- Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures and standards.
- Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Obtains patient history, reason for visit, vital signs, height, weight, smoking status, allergies and current medication on all patient visits.
- Performs EKG's, ear irrigations, draws injections accurately and administer correctly, administer medications (topical, oral or injection) correctly.
- Collections and labels specimens properly and sends them to appropriate designated lab.
- Aid in scanning documents, answering phones, scheduling appointments, talking messages, calling prescriptions or any other duties that will help with efficiency of the office.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Required Skills
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
What We Are Looking For
- Required License: Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current LPN licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a current LPN licensure with a multistate compact status
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association, BLS certificate or obtain within 90 days after hire date
