Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Rehabilitation

About the role

Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Madison is a new, 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital opening this fall, part of Lifepoint Health, a healthcare network dedicated to making communities healthier.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and correct administration based on patient age and condition.
• Reduces medication errors by following correct procedures.
• Assists with patient assessments and reassessments as needed.
• Identifies and implements appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
• Carefully carries out the patient care plan and evaluates its effectiveness daily.
• Updates the interdisciplinary care plan based on patient changes and needs.
• Interacts professionally with patients and families, involving them in care planning.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification.
• IV Certification (or obtainable within 6 months).
• Six months' experience in a medical/surgical setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
