About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time position at Eventide's The Linden is for a 12-hour overnight shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM), with every third holiday rotation. The position offers a $5 an hour shift differential from 6 PM-7 AM and a 7% Part-Time Shift differential added to the base wage.
Responsibilities
- Assesses residents' needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews.
- Provides individual attention to encourage each resident's ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
- Observes and follows residents' plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes as necessary.
- Administers medications and treatments, monitoring for effectiveness.
- Provides direct nursing care to residents as needed, according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services.
- Documents nursing care accurately in residents' electronic medical records according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Aids in the orientation and training of new team members.
- Reports resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
- Maintains adequate staffing levels and corrects inadequate staffing.
- Monitors the activities and functions of subordinate staff, including participating in the disciplinary process.
- Ensures work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts.
- Communicates resident needs to resident care staff and interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
- Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
- Coordinates and participates in resident care conferences and communicates information effectively to families.
- Reports any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents' rights per policy.
Requirements
Ideal candidates must have an active MN LPN license. Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
Must be accountable for managing electronic timecards daily.
Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers.

Pay
Competitive estimated starting pay range of $26.00-$29.12 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available.
