About the role
The MA/LPN is primarily responsible for ensuring high quality and continuity in the provision of comprehensive primary medical care services. The MA/LPN is utilized in performing typical front and back office clinical functions. The MA/LPN is under the overall on-site supervision of the Sports Medicine Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Ensures high quality and continuity in the provision of comprehensive primary medical care services.
- Performs typical front and back office clinical functions.
- Works under the supervision of the Sports Medicine Supervisor.
- Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow.
- Excellent customer service skills and good communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed.
- Verbal and written communication with patients to promote continuity of care and follow-up as well as daily retrieval and scanning/filing of clinical encounter forms and reports for use by clinic staff during patient care activities.
Requirements
- Vocational/Technical Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant degree must be conferred on or before the agreed upon start date.
- Previous front and back-office experience in a health clinic setting or equivalent experience.
- Current Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure required in the state of Oklahoma.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Valid Driver's License.
