About the role
Provides professional nursing care under the direction of a provider. Duties include:
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments.
- Coordinating patient care activities.
- Assisting providers during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing.
- Observing, recording, and reporting patient conditions and reactions.
- Scheduling appointments and prioritizing patients in emergencies.
- Greeting patients, preparing them for exams, and collecting health histories.
- Documenting patient information in charts.
- Instructing patients on sample collection and test preparation.
- Responding to patient inquiries and complaints.
- Maintaining exam rooms and ensuring cleanliness.
- Preparing lists of medical supplies and labeling pathology specimens.
- Performing quality control and maintaining records on lab testing.
Responsibilities
