Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care under provider direction.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards.
- Coordinate clinic patient care activities.
- Prepare equipment and assist providers during procedures, examinations, and testing.
- Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications/treatments.
- Oversee appointment scheduling, prioritizing emergency situations.
- Maintain timely patient flow.
- Greet patients, prepare them for exams, and screen for health history and vitals.
- Document patient information in charts.
- Instruct patients on sample collection and tests.
- Respond to patient phone calls promptly with physician input.
- Educate patients and families on diagnostics, medications, nutrition, and wellness.
- Propose solutions to patient care crises and complaints.
- Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and ensure cleanliness.
- Prepare supply lists and ensure proper labeling of pathology specimens per lab protocol.
- Perform quality control and maintain records for all lab testing.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice or one of the following Medical Assistant certifications:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Health Career Association (NHA) with Medical Assistant diploma
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Ability to work specified hours.
- Visual acuity and communication skills sufficient to perform position duties, including hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech and sounds.

Pay
$20.00 - $31.50 per hour, dependent upon experience.
