Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): OIDD - Saleeby
Job Responsibilities
Under the guidance of a nurse supervisor, this position provides daily nursing care, training, activities, and treatment to the people who live at the Regional Centers in accordance with all licensing and certification requirements, the South Carolina Nursing Practice Act, and BHDD-OIDD.
Administers routine oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications as well as treatments in accordance with nursing protocol, facility policies, and procedures.
Maintains a safe and sanitary living and working environment.
Ensures accountability and protection from harm for all individuals through appropriate and thorough documentation.
Reviews Monthly Medication Administration Record (MAR) and 90-day recertification orders, completes health care records, AIMS/DISCUS, swallowing and SAOM Evaluations. Assists with weights and heights as ordered and indicated by policy and procedures. Properly documents as needed.
Performs and participates in activities as otherwise assigned by the supervisor to include, but not limited to, participation in on-call rotation procedure.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a registered nursing education program for professional nursing or an equivalent course of study from a registered nursing education program per Section 40-33-32 of the South Carolina Nurse Licensure Act.
- Licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of South Carolina.

- Ability to lift and move individuals.
- General knowledge of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Ability to work in a group home like setting or ICF.
- Physical ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.
Schedule
This position works a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Hours of operation are: 1st shift: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, 2nd shift: 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm, and 3rd shift: 10:45 pm - 7:15 am.
