Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of vocational nursing.
- Function under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and perform tasks related to patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program with six months of patient care experience required.
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- A current CPR card is required; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card.
- Demonstrate commitment to patient centered care philosophy as evidenced by effective communications skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Be computer literate.
- Hold a current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
