About the Role
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides nursing care as directed by an RN, including gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner. Responsibilities align with PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines. Additional duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care under the direction of an RN on the unit.
- Collect and report patient data.
- Execute physician orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
- Ensure care is appropriate for patient age and population.
- Adhere to PAM Health’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of employment or compact licensure if applicable.
- Current BLS certification (AHA-approved) required within 90 days of employment.
- Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if mandated by state regulations.
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
