Responsibilities
- Providing appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit
- Gathering and reporting data
- Carrying out orders
- Performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested
Education and Training
- Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification required (must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment)
- Current IV certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations
Experience
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
