Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Koke Mill

Responsibilities

• Fulfills nursing care procedures including initial patient assessment, evaluation, and preliminary testing.
• Aids physicians in patient care activities such as administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Educates patients and families on their care and treatment options.
• Responds to patient inquiries via phone.
• Follows the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Ensures compliance with professional standards and patient privacy regulations.
• Documents patient care accurately and ensures completeness of entries.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Assists with various aspects of patient flow, including supply management, room preparation, and exam/procedure assistance.
• Supports diagnostic testing processes, including specimen collection, labeling, and communication of results.
• Performs CLIA-waived tests and may conduct EKGs, rhythm strips, spirometry, pulse oximetry, nebulizers, and other tests as directed.
• Contributes to achieving financial goals by securing and stocking necessary supplies and finding cost-effective solutions.
• Works collaboratively with the team to enhance processes and improve patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice practical nursing.
• CPR certification required.
• Maintains state-required continuing medical education (CME).
• Prior computer experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a clinic setting preferred.
