Essential Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to behavioral health patients.
- Complete nursing assessments and assist with developing individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and wellness.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in patient admissions, discharge planning, and ongoing care coordination.
- Auxiliary with community outreach, educational events, and referral source engagement.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, hospitals, agencies, and community partners to promote IOP services.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and all applicable state and federal requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
