Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor for CNA Training Program

Job Summary

Interim Healthcare of Pueblo is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Instructor for its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program. The position involves providing on-site instruction and education of entry-level care giving for future nursing assistants.

About the Role

As the CNA Training Program Instructor, you will provide teaching and instruction of all required education and skills for each student. You will also provide training sessions to meet all course competencies, offer guidance and advice to students regarding their academic progress, and assist as needed to ensure program objectives and goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and instruction of all required education and skills for each student.
• Provide training sessions to meet all course competencies.
• Offer guidance and advice to students in regard to course progress or any academic-related concerns.
• Assist, support, and report to the Primary Instructor as necessary to accomplish program objectives and goals.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license that is active in Colorado.
• CPR Certification (demonstration course required).
• One (1) year of recent nursing experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill in a nursing home/long-term care facility.
• A minimum of one (1) year in one of the following: experience teaching adults, experience managing CNA's, or have completed the approved "Train the Trainer" program.

Pay

$33 per hour
