Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-time, Memory Care - Newport News

Overview

Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor, and ultimately responsible to the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Quality Care Management.

What You Will Do

• Medications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
• Contributes to the development, maintenance, or modifications to the individual service plans.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to nursing practice standards.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.

Qualifications

• Nursing experience (Preferred)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) - Upon Hire
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) - Within 30 Days
