About the role

The LPN will work full-time Day shift, 7a-3p, 40 hours a week. The schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday rotation. An additional $5 per hour is added to the base wage for overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Affords and ensures the highest degree of nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Eventide.
  • Affords individual attention to encourage each resident's ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Observes and follows residents' plans of care and updates them as necessary.
  • Administers medications and treatments and monitors their effectiveness.
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents as needed and according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services.
  • Documents accurately in the residents' electronic medical record according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Affords assistance in the orientation/training of new LPN team members.
  • Reports resident needs, problems, and observations regarding their condition(s) to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift and corrects inadequate staffing appropriately.
  • Monitors the activities and functions of subordinate staff, which may include participating in the disciplinary process.
  • Ensures that work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately within scheduled shifts and according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Communicates the needs of residents to resident care staff in the unit, as appropriate.
  • Interacts with physicians and other healthcare facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
  • Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Coordinates and participates in resident care conferences and communicates information effectively to families.
  • Promptsly reports any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents' rights per policy.
  • Manages electronic timecard on a daily basis.

Qualifications

Must have an active ND LPN license or be able to obtain one upon hire. Experience in Long Term Care is preferred but not required.

Pay

Estimated starting pay range of $26.00-$29.12 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available.
