LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) FT DAYS
About the role
AMG Specialty Hospital - Lafayette is seeking Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for Day Shifts with LTAC experience. LPNs provide direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meet the communication needs of patient and family; and provide care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Communicate with physicians and team members about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Shift Differentials are paid for Weekend Shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care services addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
- Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agency requirements, nursing, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Communicate with physicians and team members regarding changes in patient clinical conditions, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
- Perform general nursing duties across all departments with adequate supervision.
Requirements
- Current Louisiana LPN Licensure in good standing.
- Acute Care, Med-Surg, Critical Care, or ICU experience preferred.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills.
