About the role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. Under the direction of an RN, you will contribute to patient care and support clinical operations in a full-time clinic position.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- Administer medication as permitted.
- Document patient care given.
- Assist RN with development of plan of care.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
- Obtain insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures.
- Attend clinic meetings.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report all incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action.
- Complete safety instructional programs.
- Assist other team members when time permits.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Current LPN/PN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and be in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
- BCLS certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits, and healthcare backgrounds.

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
