Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Emergency Services

About the role

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Emergency Department team. The position offers a $10,000 bonus for a two-year commitment and flexible shift options including nights, weekends, and rotating days.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Aids in the development of the plan of care.
• Aids patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current LPN license in state of practice.
• BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency department setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.

Nights | Full Time | 6:30/7:00 | Rotating Weekends
