Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - ED

About the role

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team. This role will be a part-time day position, 6:45am – 7:15pm.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards
• Participates on unit teams, work groups and/or committees
• Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience: 0 years of experience
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association

The preferred qualifications for this role include 1 year of experience as a LPN or Medical Assistant.
