Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Daytime 6am - 6pm
Responsibilities
- Provides general nursing care as required.
- Develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned residents.
- Distributes medication as prescribed and properly maintains the MARS.
- Serves as a role model for residents and peers.
- Establishes and maintains professional contact with the resident’s physician and psychotherapist to assist in planning the resident’s care.
- Models and teaches appropriate life skills to the patients.
- Admits, discharges, and transfers residents based on physician’s orders and sometimes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Intervenes appropriately to de-escalate residents as needed.
- Provides quality and excellent nursing care to assigned behavioral health children and adolescents.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of Arkansas or eligible compact license.
- Preferrably one-year direct care experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Must be CPR Certified.
