Responsibilities
- Achieve direction and guidance in patient education and activities aligned with your education and demonstrated competencies.
- Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning.
- Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the start of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions.
- Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Support weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday).
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
- Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Qualifications
- Reside in the United States.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential.
