About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Coordinator, Infection Control (Administration) position at Starr Regional Medical Center is a Full-Time, Day shift position located in Etowah, TN. The position requires a graduate of an LPN program and must hold a valid license from the State of Tennessee. Additional certifications and qualifications may be required based on the specific responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- May administer medication.
- Documents patient care given.
- Aids in the development of the plan of care.
- Aids patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Maintains monitoring, documentation, and communication of patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Requirements
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an LPN program.
Skills
- BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.

Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 7.5 hours daily; rotating call.
