About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Verland's Main Campus in Sewickley PA provides exceptional care to individuals who are residents.
Responsibilities
- Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
- Assess the physical status of individuals daily and report any unusual behavior or condition to the Charge Nurse.
- Auxiliary with physician visits as assigned.
- Document care given to individuals on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Develop and implement health care plans for assigned individuals as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
- Attend any staffing and ITR reviews as a contributing member of the IDT.
- Not insert nasogastric tube or obtain physicians' orders.
- Perform other related duties as required.

- Must possess a working knowledge of professional standards and current nursing trends, ability to comprehend individuals’ records and physicians’ orders, and establish working relationships with other members of the IDT.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and all required clearances.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized one-year practical nurse program and hold a current Pennsylvania registration.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field (rehabilitation, extended care facility).
Qualifications
- Must be able to document individuals’ care in a comprehensive manner according to professional and legal standards.
Skills
- Professional standards and current nursing trends.
- Comprehend individuals’ records and physicians’ orders.
- Establish working relationships with other members of the IDT.
Pay
$21.25 per hour for Full Time positions.
Schedule
- Full Time - 36 hours.
- Shifts available:
- Week 1: 6 am - 6:30 pm - Sunday / Monday / Friday
- Week 2: 6 am - 6:30 pm - Monday / Tuesday / Saturday
