About the role
The LPN plays a crucial role in Proactive MD's clinical operations, supporting providers and performing various administrative and clinical duties.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with and documentation of treatments ordered and supervised by the provider or registered nurse.
- Documents all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider.
- Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and performs select clinical duties.
- Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
- Manages basic inventory of supplies and assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree and active certification as an LPN or LVN.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- Minimum one-year clinical experience as LPN.
- Recent experience drawing blood.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of HIPAA.
