About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse at Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family.
Responsibilities
- Performs under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurse Case Manager.
- Provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.
- Current driver’s license, car insurance, car registration, and reliable automobile.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Training: Completion of a licensed practical nurse program.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
