A Day in the Life of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
You play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!
- Maintain resident condition and needs
- Administer medications and treatments
- Maintain narcotic policies and procedures
- Monitor for side effects and report changes
- Oversight of nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff
- Complete documentation and admit/discharge residents
- Report bruises, skin tears, or neglect
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPPA regulations
- Uphold facility policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing (preferred but not required)
- Trustworthy and respectful of others
- Dependable, professional, and a team player
- Enjoy serving and caring for seniors
- Easily establish rapport and communicate effectively
Work Schedule
This full-time health care position works 12-hour shifts 7p - 7a.
