A Day in the Life of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
You play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose!
- Maintain careful monitoring of residents' condition and needs
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
- Maintain narcotic policies and procedures, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in residents' conditions
- Oversee the nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed
- Complete documentation and admit and discharge residents
- Report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect found during care
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPPA regulations and facility policies
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing (preferred but not required)
Work Schedule
This full-time health care position works 12-hour night shift.
