About the role
We invite you to join our team of dedicated professionals at MediLodge of Tawas City. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will coordinate and provide nursing care for our residents while also supervising and guiding clinical staff members.
Responsibilities
- Documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
- Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.
- Sets up nursing care for team members according to the resident's needs and their capabilities.
- Supervises, directs, and evaluates junior staff members and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Administers medications and performs treatments for assigned residents, and documents these treatments as required by the company, and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Ensures that supplies are used efficiently and equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
- Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
- Collaborates with other departments to coordinate nursing care for residents during therapy or procedures.
- Interviews applicants and recommends hiring decisions.
- Participates in counseling, disciplinary actions, and terminations of staff, within the limits of the state practice act.
- Schedules and directs the nursing staff, within the limits of the state practice act.
- Maintains inventory and supplies on the unit and communicates the need for housekeeping, maintenance, or dietary assistance.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing.
- Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
- Valid CPR certification.
- One year experience in nursing preferred.

Pay
New Starting Wages at $30.40-$41.51 per hour. Wage Calculation is based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, and a $5.00/hr weekend warrior program.
Schedule
