Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct clinical care and supervises nursing assistants to ensure quality resident care within their scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit residents daily to assess their physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the charge nurse, physician, or Director of Nursing.
• Identify urgent issues and initiate lifesaving measures when needed, especially in emergencies or absence of a physician.
• Administer holistic care tailored to residents' needs and monitor medication, supplies, and equipment inventory.
• Complete medical documentation, reports, and evaluations accurately.
• Report occupational hazards and exposures following facility policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid, current state LPN license and CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and perform administrative duties effectively.
