Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the Role

Provide clinical care within the scope of practice to enhance patient experience and safety, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission, NYS DOH, and Infection Control.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient education on health promotion and disease management under provider or RN supervision.
• Safely administer medications following hospital policies, utilizing pharmacology knowledge.
• Perform CLIA Waived Lab testing, maintain quality controls, and participate in proficiency testing.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Engage in Performance Improvement activities, review data, and support improvement plans.
• Participate in ongoing educational opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current NYS Practical Nurse License or Permit.

Skills

• Preferred: Experience in critical care or hospital settings.
• Preferred: CPR certification.

Work Environment

• Primarily office setting with occasional exposure to safety hazards.
• Serves patients of all age groups.
• Access to non-restricted patient information (Level 3 HIPAA access).
