Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

The Preserve at Dunedin is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for shifts between 3 PM and 11 PM. This is a full-time opportunity in a beautiful assisted living and memory care community.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care and support to residents in Assisted Living and/or Memory Care.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and community policies.
• Monitor resident health and communicate changes to physicians, families, and team members.
• Support, guide, and mentor care staff to ensure the highest standards of service.

Requirements

• Current LPN license in good standing.
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for working with older adults.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice per state.
• Work experience in the geriatric field.
• Ability to communicate well and in writing.
• Ability to deal with visitors, staff and residents in a courteous manner.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 60 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure at times.
• Must be able to perform good grooming practices, personal hygiene and be punctual and regular in attendance.
• Must have a warm, friendly, congenial personality.
• Must present a professional appearance and possess an empathetic attitude towards seniors.
• Able to assess a resident’s condition and intervene when needed.
• CPR certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter.
