Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- A valid LPN license in the state of New Mexico (NM)
Responsibilities
Licensed practical nurses play an essential role in acute care teams, supporting patient comfort, continuity of care, and progress toward recovery. Depending on the shift, responsibilities may include:
- Charting and recording medications and treatments
- Observing patients and reporting changes in condition
- Measuring and recording vital signs, weight, height, and other diagnostics
- Comforting and reassuring patients
