About the Role
Join the dedicated team at Levindale Hospital's 40-bed High Intensity Care Unit (HICU), where you'll provide skilled, compassionate care to adult patients with complex medical needs in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. Our patients include those requiring ventilator or pulmonary support, cardiac monitoring, and recovery from acute brain injuries. As an LPN, you'll play a vital role in helping patients achieve their best outcomes in a collaborative, team-oriented environment supported by a full interdisciplinary team. You'll be empowered to grow through our Nursing Career Ladder and robust professional development programs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
- Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support patients and families through education and emotional care
Requirements
- Active Maryland or Compact State LPN license
- Current BLS (AHA required)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Pay
$26.38 to $40.89 per hour, based on experience
