LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - LIBERTY COMMONS OF LEE COUNTY

About the role

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services promotes a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in a caring environment. They are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Responsibilities

• Aids in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegates duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitors their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observes patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental conditions, to identify any signs indicating adverse changes.
• Notifies attending physicians of emergencies and informs them of patient deaths within the unit.
• Enforces changes in orders as directed or as ordered by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Licensed Practical Nurse, having graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and proof of license renewal every other year.
• Willingness to work as charge nurses and assist during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and show genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certified annually.
• Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
