Licensed Practical Nurse (Intermittent Float)

Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing safe, personalized nursing care in various healthcare settings, including mental health and outpatient clinics. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with hygiene, obtain lab specimens, monitor vital signs, perform treatments, administer medications, and observe patient responses. Respond to emergencies and operate specialized equipment. Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and staff, providing consistent information and handling conflicts constructively. Qualifications: Must have active, unrestricted LPN licensure, graduate from an approved nursing program, and proficiency in English. Experience levels vary from GS-3 to GS-6, with responsibilities expanding with experience, including patient assessment, medication administration, emergency response, and patient education. Skills & Abilities: Judgment in patient care, ability to recognize urgent situations, teamwork, communication, and adherence to policies. Preceptor roles and ongoing education are encouraged.
