Join Mercy Fort Smith’s Med Surg Service Line, a dynamic department made up of 8 specialty units that care for patients preparing for or recovering from a wide range of medical and surgical interventions. With a dedicated “home unit” and opportunities for cross-training across specialties, our nurses build a strong clinical foundation while gaining exposure to diverse patient conditions, procedures, and comorbidities. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.
- Work within a dedicated “home unit” while having opportunities for cross-training across specialties.
- Build a strong clinical foundation through exposure to diverse patient conditions, procedures, and comorbidities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (or equivalent experience with licensure).
- Current LPN license in the state of practice; must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., IV Certification within 1 year).
