Description of Work

This position focuses on delivering steady nursing care and supporting treatment plans for individuals at the Ebensburg Center. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Nursing Support: Provide care that follows the nursing process and maintains wellness for each individual
  • Active Treatment: Participate in treatment planning by attending meetings and completing documentation for assigned cases
  • Health Communication: Relay observations to physicians and assist with examinations and health interventions
  • Care Coordination: Carry out nursing functions, monitor individuals, and report changes in health status
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency procedures, support evacuations, and apply safety measures as needed
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain licensure, follow regulations, and continue developing nursing skills

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full-time employment
Work hours: 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
Rotating days off, work weekends and holidays as assigned
Off Every 3rd Weekend
Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.

Pay

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $68,914.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

Necessary Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Licensed Practical Nurse license.

At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Legal Requirements

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance. A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
