Licensed Practical Nurse - Dermatology

Role Overview Provides patient-centered nursing care, supporting physicians and ensuring safety, quality, and infection control standards. Builds strong rapport with members and patients, actively understanding their needs and responding promptly. Performs routine and specialized procedures, administers medications, monitors patient conditions, and reports deviations. Educates patients on health maintenance and post-care instructions. Assists with examinations, treatments, and minor surgeries, maintaining accurate medical records. Key Responsibilities Adheres to safety, quality, and emergency policies; ensures patient safety and reports hazards.Supports infection control and maintains a safe care environment.Supports medical staff by preparing patients and facilitating procedures.Performs nursing procedures within scope, including medication administration and patient monitoring.Records patient data accurately and reports changes or adverse reactions.Provides health education and post-care instructions to patients and families.Assists with exams, treatments, and minor surgeries, and helps orient new staff.Manages supplies and inventory, demonstrating service excellence and cultural sensitivity. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensure as an LPN in Colorado.High School Diploma or GED required.Valid Practical Nurse License and BLS certification.Customer service orientation; IV therapy certification preferred.Experience with diverse patient populations and trauma care is a plus; new graduates are welcome.
