About the role
Interim HealthCare of Sioux Falls is seeking caring, compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses to staff Correctional Health at the County Jail in Pierre, South Dakota. Multiple full-time positions are available.
Schedule
- Full-time, days
- 12-hour shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m.)
- Weekend rotation
- Block scheduling available (3–4 shifts in a row)
Pay
$45 per hour; weekly pay plus mileage; opportunity for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care per individualized care plans
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by providers and within facility scope
- Make independent decisions while following instructions
- Interact with inmates and staff in a courteous, professional manner
- Promote a safe environment during care
- Ensure reliable coverage by being punctual and consistently covering shifts
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current South Dakota LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Pass a background check
- Ability to lift, turn, position, and transfer up to 50 lbs
