About the role
Provides direct and indirect outpatient nursing care under RN supervision and medical orders.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and reviews patient records
- Implements nursing procedures
- Administers treatments and medications
- Documents patient responses
- Performs point-of-care testing
- Manages immunization data and inventories
- Ensures compliance with health guidelines
- Assists with patient education, discharge plans, and referrals
- Supports infection control, sterile techniques, and clinic operations, including supply management and scheduling
- Acts as a resource for staff, trains new personnel, and participates in quality and compliance activities
Qualifications and Skills
- Hawaii Licensed Practical Nurse license
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of conflict resolution, customer service, and teamwork
- Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work with diverse patient populations
- Preferred experience in nursing, clinical settings, and proficiency with PC applications
- Ability to handle emergency situations, follow protocols, and perform tasks within scope, ensuring high-quality patient care
