Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide home health and hospice care in Central and Western Anne Arundel County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a daily difference in patients' lives by helping them heal in the comfort of their own homes.

Pay

$30.00 - $35.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify them promptly of any changes in patient condition
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques
• Check vital signs
• Review all medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g., foley catheter change)
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner

Requirements

• One year of clinical LPN experience
• Current LPN license specific to the state(s) of assignment
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance
