Licensed Practical Nurse

About the Role

As an LPN at Tazewell Regional Jail, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers. You'll be a source of safety, dignity, and healing for patients who are often receiving their first experience with quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Assisting with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
• Providing wound care and changing dressings
• Supporting documentation and care planning
• Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients
• Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team

Requirements

• Active unrestricted LPN license in state of practice
• 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred)
• Active CPR certification
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Adaptability in high-pressure settings
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care
