About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 12-month assignment at the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs in Union Grove, WI. Under the direction of an RN, the LPN will provide direct and indirect patient care for geriatric and/or disabled members.

Responsibilities

• Measure, administer, and record medications as ordered by physicians
• Perform LPN-level nursing procedures and treatments, including but not limited to:
  • Tube feedings
  • Catheterizations
  • Irrigations
  • Changing sterile dressings
  • Suctioning
  • Tracheotomy care
  • Nebulizer treatments
  • Specialized skin care treatments

Requirements

• At least 1 year of full-time experience as an LPN
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 2-Step TB test (two intradermal tests with reads 48-72 hours apart, the second within three weeks of the first) or QuantiFERON TB Gold or T-spot blood test

Pay

$40/hour

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
