About the role
This position may be eligible for a $8,000 recruitment bonus. Current state employees are not eligible for recruitment payments upon transfer, demotion, or promotion to another agency.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate health care for incarcerated individuals.
- Follow nursing procedures.
- Conduct physical examinations.
- Provide CPR and first aid.
- Complete required documentation.
Requirements
- Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
- Compact license holders are required to obtain an Iowa license within 60 days.
