Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

This position focuses on providing patient-centered care, developing strong relationships, and understanding member/patient needs. It supports physicians and healthcare teams by performing routine and specialized nursing procedures, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and compliance with policies, including medication administration and infection control.
• Support healthcare providers in patient care, including rooming patients and facilitating procedures.
• Monitor and report patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and document care accurately.
• Educate patients on health management and post-care instructions.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, and minor surgeries, and manage medical supplies.
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and service-oriented environment, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensure as a Practical Nurse in Colorado.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Practical Nurse license and BLS certification required; IV therapy certification and experience with diverse patient populations preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work within a team.
