Licensed Practical Nurse
About the role
The North Dakota State Hospital is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team. We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and temporary positions with various shifts available. Temporary positions are part-time and ongoing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to the clients of the North Dakota State Hospital by administering medications and treatment and providing medication lessons to clients.
- Identify clients’ needs through interviewing and observation and assess the clients to ensure they are receiving the appropriate level of care.
- Transcribe physicians’ orders, complete requisitions on all medications, and provide medication education to clients.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and revision of nursing care plans and complete all necessary documentation.
- Investigate and assess clients’ complaints and follow through appropriately as well as delegate responsibilities to Direct Care Associates.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (or registration in another state and meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in ND).
Qualifications
- Desired experience in psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals.
Skills
- Effective and considerate communication skills.
- A desire to assist and support others.
