Responsibilities

• Collaborate with May Institute interdisciplinary team, including clinicians, therapists, and direct support staff, creating personalized treatment plans for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Monitor individuals throughout the day, providing care for chronic and acute illnesses or injuries.
• Skillfully administer medications, treatments, and interventions with precision and care, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals.
• Forge relationships with external healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure seamless, integrated care.
• Use organizational skills to maintain meticulous records of progress and treatment interventions, ensuring healthcare records remain in compliance with state regulations.
• Sharpen your skills and share your expertise through trainings for direct care staff in the classrooms to provide optimal care based on individual needs.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to thrive within an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, committed to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each client, their families, or outside agencies, exhibiting empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.

Pay

$31 - $35 per hour.
