About the role
The position at Hale Makua Health Services is a Licensed Practical Nurse role within the post-acute healthcare sector. This role focuses on providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
- Appraises the family, physician and others of changes/incidents.
- Collaborates with physicians, therapy services, consultants and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license as a License Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
- Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
- First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
